This fun Children’s Halloween Craft Workshop at Stafford Castle is the perfect treat to get ready for Halloween. Come along to get spooky and create your very own Halloween craft to take home. Why not also follow our spooky trail around the Castle site!
No pre-booking required. Drop in any time between 11am and 3.15pm.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

All materials supplied to decorate your very own moss ring with fresh greenery, ribbon, dried fruit, baubles or whatever you fancy. Inspiration photos are provided and staff are on hand for advice.
This is an ideal pre-Christmas social for adults only, with seasonal music. Your booking price includes a glass of prosecco, orange juice or a hot drink, along with a mince pie.

Each session offers a different creation and can be booked individually, there is a discount when booking all 3 sessions at once. Some embroidery experience is suggested, either personal, or by having attended one of our past embroidery workshops. All materials will be provided for each session, and refreshments will be available.
5th October – Kick start your handcrafted Christmas with our first of three themed embroidery sessions. You will choose your own Christmas/ Winter design from a huge variety of templates, or create your own. Your embroidered art can be made into a greetings card and/or bookmark. Completed designs can then be scanned to create multiple printed greetings cards/ bookmarks. (Print service not included).
9th November – After our extremely popular Embroidery and Afternoon Tea at Isaak Walton’s Cottage this summer, we are bringing you another opportunity to create a beautiful hand-embroidered napkin, this time; Christmas themed and taking place at the High House.
Christmas Napkin Embroidery – There are 3 pre-designed motifs to choose from- Nutcracker / Robin / Snowflake, or design your own. Designs can be pre-drawn onto napkins for you or you can draw it in session, let us know your choices upon booking. You will create one napkin within the session and there will be a napkin folding tutorial.
7th December – A favourite workshop from last year is returning this festive season, create your own Embroidered Tree Ornament- You will design, sew and mount your Christmas decoration within the session, these make lovely gifts or a great addition to your own tree.
Join us for two fun, informal workshops to learn the basics of hand knitting and create your own cosy scarf for winter.
Under the guidance of our knitting expert you will learn the skills necessary to create your own hand-knitted, hand-fringed scarf across two workshops. The first session will start you on your way. You can continue at your leisure as well as in the second session where you will learn the necessary skills to complete your project.
This workshop includes pattern, yarn, knitting needles, cloth workbag and refreshments. These workshops are ideal for beginners with little or no experience or those who have knitted in the past and want to refresh their craft.
Choose from four stunning colours: Silver; Scarlet; Teal; Purple. Please see the right hand side of the image at the top of the page for colour samples. (Colour must be specified upon booking and cannot be changed later.)
